Mother's Day Gifts

Made a couple of little fabric baskets to give my mom for Mother's Day.

She loves owls and once I saw these beautiful linen/cotton Japanese prints I knew I had to get them and make something for her.

These were made using the tutorial over on Pink Penguin. I love how they turned out and am especially glad that my mom loves them too!

Here's hoping all the wonderful mamas I know had a fantastic weekend with their families!

  1. That's so funny Megan, that's what I made my mom too! I had collected various Southwest fabrics since she loves everything SW and made 3 baskets for her using the Pink Penguin tute (but I made them in 3 sizes, the original 2 inch, 2 1/2 inch, and 3 inch for the patchwork squares as in the original). Love the owls!
