Is it free and clear from the seam stitch line?

Also, poppyprint has a good question. If the metal part is extended out into the seam, I would need to be very careful to stay between the metal part and also staying clear of the fabric tabs. Is this correct?

Thanks!Cocohttp://cocosjewelry.etsy.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144768051122694104.post-40085259858521576632012-10-26T15:56:55.512-07:002012-10-26T15:56:55.512-07:00I enjoy learning new ways of sewing zippers....tha...I enjoy learning new ways of sewing zippers....thanks again...Mel's Designs 'n Harmony
www.cabinfever228.blogspot.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144768051122694104.post-77126705130899152912011-01-26T17:22:45.085-08:002011-01-26T17:22:45.085-08:00Thanks for this!!! Just one question, you recommend cutting all of the excess zipper tape off the ends, right up to the metal ends....if you do this, what do you sew the little fabric tab to? Don't you have to leave at least a 1/4" of tape beyond the metal tab?

Thanks!!Poppyprinthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08251892807966340175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8144768051122694104.post-62060833677895051112010-10-27T10:55:15.879-07:002010-10-27T10:55:15.879-07:00I think you have solved all my problems (well at l...I think you have solved all my problems (well at least the sewing ones!!!. I never managed to get that zipper nice and neatly into the pouches and among all those 43 gazillion tutorials there was never an explanation to be found how to do it precisely. Now thanks to you - I will be able to overcome my fears.(I didn't really dare to start a new pouch because of the trouble I could see in advance). Actually I am now really looking forward to starting anew. Thank you so much!
